The more problems there are in society, the better it is for the economy. More cancer, more pollution, more scarcity of vital resources will only result in more opportunities to gain profit which certain sectors of industry can capitalize on. This is a powerful recognition when it comes to understanding the structure of our society and the way in which it operates on the basic level. We can not justify an economic system where it is not only possible - but fundamental to gain off of the misery of others.
